Become stronger in ways that matter to you.
One-to-one personal training with Davina in a private SW17 studio. Build strength, fitness and confidence through a plan that starts with your life—not somebody else’s idea of what you should look like.
One-to-one coaching · Private SW17 studio · Individual progression · Clear explanations · No crowded gym floor
A plan should fit the person who has to live it.
Personal training is not simply exercise supervised by another person. Done thoughtfully, it turns a broad ambition into appropriate actions, useful progression and a clearer sense of what to do next.
Begin with your goal. Build the method around it.
Davina first needs to understand what you want training to change. That might be feeling stronger, improving general fitness, returning to consistency, supporting an active life or becoming more confident with resistance exercise.
She can then choose exercises, equipment, pace and progression for a reason. The plan can develop as your ability and circumstances change, instead of asking you to keep forcing yourself through a generic routine.
Clear scope: Personal training supports exercise and physical fitness. It does not diagnose pain, treat injury or replace advice from a doctor, physiotherapist, dietitian or other appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
- The exercise selected for your current ability and aim
- The weight, range, tempo, repetitions and recovery used
- The amount of explanation, demonstration and feedback you need
- The rate of progression and how success is recognised
- The plan when work, energy or life temporarily changes
The programme is not personal because your name appears at the top. It is personal because the decisions respond to you.
Purposeful work in a private setting.
The imagery should make training look capable and real: active enough to feel aspirational, but never punishing, intimidating or performative.
Exercise with an understood purpose
Each movement should connect to the ability or goal you are developing.
Feedback while it is useful
Technique can be explained and refined during the movement, not weeks later.
Progress discussed, not assumed
Your response, confidence and priorities help determine what comes next.
Train towards a change you can recognise.
A meaningful goal does not have to be dramatic. It should help Davina choose what to prioritise and help you notice whether the work is moving in a useful direction.
Strength
Develop the capacity to produce and control force with appropriate progression.
Fitness
Build work capacity and feel more prepared for physical demands.
Confidence
Learn how to use resistance and equipment without feeling lost or watched.
Consistency
Replace repeated restarts with a more realistic rhythm of training.
Capability
Prepare for activities, hobbies and everyday tasks that matter to you.
Understanding
Know what you are doing, why it is there and how it can progress.
Body-composition goals require realistic expectations and are influenced by factors beyond a training session. No responsible coach can guarantee a particular weight, shape or timescale.
Private training is valuable when attention changes the experience.
You do not need to become fit before hiring a personal trainer. The starting point is information, not a minimum level of performance.
- You want to become stronger but do not know how to begin
- You dislike crowded, exposed or intimidating gym environments
- You have trained before but struggle to maintain direction
- You want closer feedback on exercise choice and technique
- You value appointments, accountability and a plan that can adapt
- You have unexplained, severe or worsening pain
- You have a recent injury, operation or significant change in health
- You are pregnant or recently postnatal [Davina to confirm policy]
- A clinician has advised restrictions on exercise
- You need diagnosis, rehabilitation or specialist clinical support
These points do not automatically prevent training. They may mean Davina needs further information, professional guidance or medical clearance before deciding what is appropriate.
A place to learn—not a room in which to prove yourself.
You will not need to compete for equipment, understand gym etiquette or compare yourself with the strongest person in the room.
Davina can introduce unfamiliar exercises, explain how equipment is used and give you time to develop competence. Questions, rest and adjustments are part of the work—not signs that you are failing it.
Explore the private studioAssess. Practise. Progress. Review.
Training decisions should be visible enough to understand and flexible enough to respond when the evidence changes.
Understand
Discuss your goal, history, preferences, health and practical constraints.
Establish
Explore relevant movement and capacity without turning the first session into a test.
Train
Practise selected exercises with coaching, feedback and appropriate effort.
Progress
Adjust load, volume, complexity or recovery when the work is ready to develop.
Review
Use performance, experience and consistency to decide the next sensible step.
A hard session and an effective plan are not the same thing.
Feeling exhausted can prove that a workout was tiring. It does not, by itself, prove that the training was well chosen.
Productive training uses enough challenge to create a reason to adapt, while respecting technique, recovery and the wider pattern of your week. Some sessions will feel demanding. Others may emphasise learning, control or rebuilding momentum.
- Progress can mean more load, but it can also mean better control
- Recovery is information, not laziness
- Consistency usually matters more than one heroic session
- The programme should develop without making exercise feel like punishment
Personal Training, Reformer Pilates—or both?
Both are private and movement-led, but they are not interchangeable. The best starting point depends on the change you want to prioritise.
A broader strength and fitness toolkit
- Built around a defined physical or fitness goal
- Can draw on varied resistance and conditioning methods
- Progression may centre on strength, capacity or performance
- Useful when the goal extends beyond one exercise system
Learn movement through the Reformer
- Centres on controlled Pilates exercises and principles
- Uses the carriage, springs, straps and footbar
- Emphasises awareness, coordination and precise movement
- Useful when the Reformer experience is itself part of the goal
A combined pathway makes sense when each method has a distinct job—not simply because more services sound more impressive.

Davina brings Personal Training, Pilates, LPG Endermologie and Health Coaching into one wider understanding of confidence and wellbeing. Your training can benefit from that perspective without losing its focus.
Her role is to make useful decisions, explain them clearly and help you do work that is appropriate to your current starting point. The aim is not dependence on a trainer; it is growing competence and confidence.

Useful answers before you enquire.
Do I need to be fit before I start?
No. Your current level is information used to shape the starting point. You should not have to prepare yourself to become worthy of personal training.
Will I be training in a busy gym?
No. Sessions take place in Davina’s private SW17 studio rather than on a public gym floor. Davina should confirm whether anyone else may ever be present during an appointment.
What happens in the first session?
Expect a conversation about your goals, health, experience and preferences, followed by relevant movement or exercise at an appropriate level. Davina should confirm whether she uses a separate consultation.
How long is a session?
[Davina to confirm the standard appointment length and whether the initial session differs.]
How often should I train?
The appropriate frequency depends on your goal, current activity, recovery, schedule and budget. Davina can recommend a realistic rhythm after understanding the wider picture.
Will Personal Training help me lose weight?
Exercise can contribute to health, fitness and energy expenditure, but no trainer should promise a specific weight change. Body weight is affected by nutrition, activity, sleep, health, medication and other factors. Health Coaching may be relevant when behaviour and routine are central to your goal.
Can I train with an injury or health condition?
Tell Davina before booking. Some circumstances can be accommodated; others require medical or physiotherapy guidance first. Personal training is not injury diagnosis or rehabilitation.
How much does Personal Training cost?
[Add Davina’s confirmed single-session and package prices, what each includes, payment terms, package expiry and cancellation policy.]
